WhatsApp QR Code Generator

A code that opens a WhatsApp conversation with you, optionally with the first message already written.

What happens when someone scans it

WhatsApp opens a chat with your number, the first message staged if you set one. The person presses send; they do not need you saved as a contact.

What the code actually contains

https://wa.me/4531214578?text=Hello

A wa.me link — country code and number with no plus, no zeros, no spaces; the pre-filled message rides along URL-encoded.

How to make one

  1. Enter the number with country code — Studio strips everything but digits.

  2. Stage a first message if a fixed opener helps you sort replies.

  3. Style it and check the preflight panel.

  4. Scan once with WhatsApp installed and watch the chat open.

Fields

  • num

    Number, with country code

  • msg

    Pre-filled first message (optional)

The staged message sorts your inbox

A fixed opener tells you which sticker, table or listing the chat came from before anyone types a word. The person can still edit it.

No contact exchange needed

The chat opens without your number being saved, and you see theirs when they write. For a market stall or a rental sign, that is the entire pitch.

Questions

What if WhatsApp is not installed?

The link opens a page offering the app, or WhatsApp Web on a desktop. There is no graceful fallback to SMS; if your audience is broad, print a phone number too.

Does scanning message me?

No. The chat is staged; sending is theirs.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes — wa.me links do not distinguish. Same number, same code.
