Everything you put into a code — the link, the text, the network password, the contact details — is turned into a QR code on your own machine and never sent to us. There is no upload step and no account.
When you export a code — or send one back to a site that embedded this designer — and only then, Studio sends us one short message describing the settings you chose. Here is all of it:
That is the whole message. It carries no name, no account, no cookie and no identifier of any kind, and we do not keep the address it arrived from next to it, so exports cannot be joined back into a person or a session. We read it to find out which parts of Studio are worth keeping.
Every page on this site also carries Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and measures how quickly the page loaded. Cloudflare add it to the page as it is served, so it is on the tool, on this page and on every guide. It sets no cookie and does not fingerprint your browser, so it cannot recognise you on a later visit or follow you to another site. What it records is:
That is all of it. No name, no account, no cookie, no identifier and no IP address kept beside it — and nothing whatsoever about the code you are designing, which never leaves your machine either way. We read it to find out which pages are worth keeping.
Your last five exported designs are kept in this browser's local storage, under "Yours", along with a count of how many times you have exported — that count is only used to number your filenames. Ticking "Keep this design" stops one from rotating out. Clearing your browser data removes all of it. None of it reaches us.
"Share this design" puts the design into the part of a link that comes after the #. Browsers never send that part to a server, so a design you share travels between you and whoever you send it to, not through us.
Studio sets no cookies, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss.
The pages themselves are plain files on Cloudflare's network. Fetching one is an ordinary web request, so it is seen the way every web server sees a request — the address asked for, and the IP address it came from — and Cloudflare keep that briefly to run the network. Beyond that, the only two things that report anything are the export message and the page-view count above. We build no profile from any of it, and we pass none of it on.
The one link that leaves this site for somewhere you can pay us — "buy us a coffee" — is an ordinary link, and nothing of theirs runs on this page unless you follow it. If you do, what happens on the other side is theirs, not ours.
