Text QR Code Generator

A code that holds words and nothing else. No address, no app, nothing to open — the phone simply shows the text.

What happens when someone scans it

The camera decodes it and shows the words, with an offer to copy or search them. Nothing is fetched and nothing opens — the note is the whole payload.

What the code actually contains

Open Wed-Sun, 8-16.

Exactly what you typed, raw. There is no prefix and no convention — this is the container with nothing wrapped around it.

How to make one

  1. Type the note.

  2. Cut it down — every character makes the grid denser.

  3. Style it and check the preflight panel.

  4. Export it at the size it will actually be read.

Fields

  • text

    The note itself

Length is the whole trade

At level L Studio fits about 425 characters, at M about 331, and less at Q and H. Long notes make codes that look like static and need more printed size; short ones stay coarse and scan from across the room.

If it should open something, use the right type

Phones sometimes make a pasted address in a text code tappable, sometimes not. If you want a page opened, a number dialled or a contact saved, the dedicated types wrap the same text in the convention phones actually follow.

Questions

How much text fits?

About 425 characters at level L, 331 at M. If you are anywhere near the limit the code will be dense; consider a URL to a page instead.

Do line breaks survive?

Yes. Formatting beyond that — bold, size, fonts — does not exist inside a QR code.

Is the text private?

No. Anyone who scans the code reads the note; there is no encryption. It is a label, not a lockbox.
