# Questions

## Why is this free?

Because we wanted one like this — no watermark, no signup, no expiry — and could not find it, so we built it. It costs very little to run. If it saved you a job you can [buy us a coffee](https://buymeacoffee.com/peyman.goldasteh); that is the whole business model.

## What's the catch?

There isn't one. Static codes are yours forever; we couldn't turn them off if we wanted to.

## Does my code expire?

Never. The link is encoded in the image itself. Nothing depends on us.

## What can't a static code do?

Change. Once printed, its destination is permanent — so if you might need to move it later, point it at an address you control, like a page on your own site, and change what sits there instead.

## Can I save my design?

Yes — your last five exported designs stay in this browser under "Yours", and ticking "Keep this design" stops one from rotating out. You can also copy a design link that rebuilds the design anywhere. We don't store any of it.

## Missing a type or a customization?

Tell us. Studio grows by request — WhatsApp, EPC payments and the border frame all started as one-line emails. Write to [hi@repoint.studio](mailto:hi@repoint.studio) with what you'd use it for; if it helps more people than you, it usually ships within a few weeks.

## Can I put this in my own site?

Yes, and it costs nothing. Frame the designer on your own page and take the finished code back over `postMessage`, or send your visitor here with a return address and get it back by POST. You say what it encodes and your visitor cannot change it — they get the designer, not the payload — and you choose what the button says. [How to embed it](/embed).

## Is there an API?

No, and there is unlikely to be one: the encoder runs in your browser, so there is no server here to ask. What there is instead is [the embed](/embed) — the designer inside your own page, handing the finished code back to your code. If you are automating rather than integrating, the page also registers WebMCP tools an agent in the browser can drive.
